Pre-Wedding Theatre Gala: HRH Princess Alexandra

Good lord, Alexandra was an elegant princess, wasn't she?  It's easy to see why some people thought of her as a sort of Nordic Princess Di.

The tiara here is, of course, the Alexandrine Diamond Drop Tiara, the same sparkler Alex wore during the entire duration of her marriage to Prince Joachim.  I rather like it with this metallic gala dress -- it sets of the delicate tiara nicely.

    It is a shame she's not still about - she was a good Princess and it was also refreshing to have someone from an ethnic background in the royal families of Europe. Tiara is a bit too small for her huge hair though!

    She was a good royal, but at least she's been able to move on properly after the separation. We really need to sort the Brits out a bit there.
    Is it just me or does this tiara seem a bit sparse here? It really is quite lovely up close: http://www.countessalexandra.com/alextiara5oy.jpg. I love her hair, too.
