    The emeralds look stunning, not really sure what's going on with the dress.

    I love this tiara! One of the other pieces that Josephine of Leuchtenburg braught to Sweden... I'm not sure if this is one of the pieces that she inherited from her sister, Amelie Empress of Brazil (nee Leuchtenburg) or if it comes from the Leuchtenburg family vault...?

    Josephine of Leuchtenburg, Queen of Sweden -> Sophia of Nassau, Queen of Sweden -> Princess Ingeborg of Sweden, nee Denmark -> Crown princess Märta of Norway, nee Sweden -> Sonja, Queen of Norway.

    Is there a full view of Sonjas dress somewhere, because this looks crazy!

    Great tiara and hair, but I agree...red shouldn't have been her first choice for her gown!

    Now I don't mind the dress really. I think she looks alright in it. But as ever those emeralds are amazing, I love the way they are set in different directions, it makes the tiara look rather modern. A contender for my favourite tiara.. perhaps we should have a Mad Hattery poll?

    I think she looks amazing! Red is her color, and I didn't think Christmas, just how lovely she looks!

    I think she looks belting. This is a triumph for Sonja, methinks. A nice cheeky bit of flesh, too! And I bloody love this tiara. It's so beautiful and edgy. Sonja really wears it well.

    I love this from the neck up, but it looks like she and the Duchess of Palma de Mallorca thought this was a Christmas party- they must have been awfully surprised!

    Speaking of the Duchess of PdM, did anyone hear that she wore a red suit to a charity bull fight?? Hilarious!
