Queen Paola chose to wear the same tiara at the Danish royal wedding that her daughter-in-law, Mathilde, wore to her own nuptials: Queen Elisabeth's Diamond Bandeau Tiara. This one's not my favorite on Paola, with her hairstyle; compared with the other queens at the wedding, this looks really almost dinky!
Also, the necklace is fighting with the tiara for prominence, and the choker's winning by a nose (or a neck?). And then there's the dress collar...

I feel like she's wearing a tiara around her neck plus on her head.
Tiara or collar, not both I think is the moral of this look. It's a gorgeous tiara, but she's got it set a bit too far back for a bandeau style.
That collar would look amazing on a whippet.
I'm distracted by the jaundiced appearance of her make-up.
The tiara is lovely in itself, but I can't help thinking that she would suit something larger for her barnet. And that necklace is fab.
The pieces are all fine, but too much together. And really not sure about that frilly number, it's doing her no favours..
I'd like to know what was going through the designer's head when he made this! (Or maybe I wouldn't?
)
The tiara itself is very pretty, but I feel that the tiara should be farther forward. Also the chocker does not go with the whole outfit. (What does go with a 16th century turquoise collar??)
The nacklace is the base of the empire diamond tiara.
