The Crown Prince of Denmark's Wedding: HRH Crown Princess Pavlos

Another day, another new tiara from Marie-Chantal: this one, again of unidentified provenance, is a a sort of art deco diamond floral tiara -- in fact, heck, let's call it the Art Deco Floral Tiara.  It's a really interesting tiara -- though you can't see it here, the diamond leaves are really stylized, giving it a really unconventional touch.  Thumbs up from me!

Question, though, hatters: how do you feel about diamond tiaras with pearl necklaces?

Dislike the diamond tiara/pearl necklace thing-separatly, both nice. together, no. Plus, um...did she get oranger in the space of the week between the gala and the wedding?

  2. maggie says on :

Love the tiara, love the necklace, but together they cancel each other out. Two 'big' contrasting pieces looks busy, not elegant.

  3. Alpa says on :

    i agree, not together.

but i have a bigger problem with the patch of sequins under her breast line, sitting right across the top of her pregnancy belly.

what's with the sheer ruffly jacket? it looks esp odd with the long white gloves.

the pink does not go well with her orange skin.

is that a pin/badge i see sitting on the side of her breast -unfortunate placement.

The tiara is great, but is competing with the necklace. And I don't like the shawl/jacket thing.

  5. JamesB says on :

Not keen on the whole look really... and the pearls scream daytime, the tiara, obviously night.

Yeah, not a fan of this. Then again, I'm not a fan of M-C. She always seems a bit showy.

Pearls should not go with diamonds.
