Ah, the Aquamarine Bandeau Tiara -- the cyclops of the Swedish tiara collection! I'd take five million button tiaras over this one, you guys. Unless Mads has decided to become the queen of a planet in a faraway galaxy, I think this one needs to be recycled into some other setting.
Far more pleasing to the eye was Madeleine's date:

Ahhh, that's better! ![]()

It's....why?!?
If you could just fill in the empty spaces with more diamonds, I think you'd have something quite lovely. As starter tiaras go, it's not as bad as Victoria's first tiara, but it's just totally out of place at such a big tiara event.
Is that the modern fringe tiara around her neck?
It's a little hard to tell, Shannon, but I do think that may indeed be the Modern Fringe. Too bad she didn't swap her tiara and necklace!
Ah the two sugar coated chocolates and their brother. Seriously, don't you think they look like confects? If Carl Philip hadn't have his uniform to wear, I swear they would have given him a light blue suit so he fit right in with his sisters. And he would have worn one of his truly outrageous ties along with it.
And really, Madde, you're Swedish, you don't need to be orange -.-
Aaaah Ella I was set to complain about the missed opportunity to insert a photo of CP but there he is in all his delectableness. I'm prepared to forget the two not so nice tiaras when he's in the middle.
Ella, I KNEW you'd find a way to get Carl Philip in here somehow!
This is the first real fashion disaster I've seen on CP Victoria. Eew. Seriously.
As for Madeleine's tiara, it needs to be deconstructed and the stone made into a pendant. The necklace should have been worn as a tiara and she would have been fine.
Why does Victoria's sash appear to be backwards? Her siblings are wearing them across their right shoulder to their left hip, but Victoria's is the opposite. Anyone know what that's about?
Leslie, Victoria is wearing the Order of the Elephant (Danish order) while her siblings are wearing the Order of the Seraphim (Swedish order). A lot of orders have stipulations how they are worn, the Order of the Elephant says the sash is worn on the left shoulder. The Seraphim is traditionally worn on the right, although I have not seen that it's stipulation.
It's not even a tiara is it - it's just lost in her (admittedly rather fabulous) hair. She is so beautiful she carries it off, but no, just no. As people have said, it needs to be a necklace.
Mads tiara does look as if she should be wearing a "Blue Team Uniform" or something such as that. Power Rangers perhaps?
I admire the sisters for sticking to their style decisions, but really! Sweden has such lovely tiaras and I'd love to see the Princesses in some of the more beautiful ones. Wouldn't an emerald one loook lovely on Madeleine?
That's just not a tiara. From a distance, it looks like a dodgily placed hair clip.
Am I the only one who likes this tiara?
True; It is rather small but the aquamarine matches her eyes so well...
No Robin you're not. It's not the best, but I definitely don't hate it. As someone suggested, perhaps there could be some fillers on the sides?
i blame their mother for dressing them like children in complementary pastels. to be fair, the girls were in their early to mid 20's at the time of this wedding. their style was young. victoria's gala dresses have become much more sophisticated since then.
back to mads:
ella, love your description of a cyclops tiara!
i agree with posters who suggest swapping the necklace and tiara. her hair looks good, curled and pulled back, it's the tiara that looks odd.
even the color of the dress looks pretty on her. now if she would just tone down the tanning.
I'm a bit slow. I said to myself 'the cyclops of the Swedish tiara collection'? and then I got it and burst out laughing! Talk about LOL.
I agree with the comments that the spaces should be filled with more gems...that would make it a lot more appealing.
