The Prince of Asturias's Wedding: HH Princess Märtha Louise

LOL -- I was going to start this post with some really pithy, witty statement about this little number, but once again, I'm reduced to fits of giggles on seeing it. Hee! Märtha Louise wore this to a royal wedding, you guys!
I do enjoy the colorful homage to the Spanish flag, but tulips? Am I missing something? Isn't that a Dutch thing? And aren't the Dutch still sort of smarting over all of those years of Spanish rule back in the Renaissance? Color me confused!
(Also: hee! She wore this to a wedding!)

Oh I do love Martha-Louise! I love this outfit, I know that I shouldn't, but I just do. It's so her!!! And given that the rest of the Norway ladies went bland, she really had to pull out all the stops.
And I love the hat - she should really have had a matching coat, but heck, it's Martha-Louise. She could have turned up in flamenco!
Bless her! She is like a 10 year old girl dressing up isn't she. Everything is so wrong - but I love it... I agree about the tulips though, that's a bit confused really.
Martha Lou is a breath of fresh air, she always shows her true personality, and while it is quite clearly bonkers, at least she is herself - and for that - I applaud her!
The woman is insane in all the best ways, I love it. I love her, she's epic.
It's almost as amazingly inapprorpiate as when my mother-in-law showed up at all her four of her sons' weddings in white.
This reminds me of Eugenie's blue turban at Ascot. This is awesome! I can't help it!!!
I've been waiting for this to show up ever since you first wrote about the hattery flashbacks.
The hat alone is crazy. Together with the dress and the SHOES... I can't find the words.
JamesB is right; She is like a ten year old playing dress-up - and one loves her for it!
The dress would be perfect if she were visiting a kindergarten. Given the occasion, and the way her husband is dressed...not so much. I like the hat, maybe I can find a picture that shows it better.
