Ah, the lovely Letizia in her first tiara -- the Prussian Diamond Tiara that she has worn multiple times since her wedding day.
I like the tiara, and I love the veil, but I feel like what should have looked delicate and elegant on Letizia was ruined by the high collar of her Manuel Pertegaz wedding gown. Leti is a little lady, and this just dwarfed her. I'm imagining it with a dress more like Princess Claire of Belgium's:

Wouldn't that have been just lovely? Ah, well. C'est la vie!

The dress did swamp her slightly (mind you, she's far too thin), but she looks gorgeous. I love this tiara sooo much.
I do always think she's looks like she's wondering if she left the iron on though. She has a 'mind is elsewhere' default expression.
Yes, yes, yes. This dress was almost as big as Spain. She is a bird, nay a sparrow and opted for this enormous monstrosity. Mind - it was designed by a guy who was about 90, so I guess we cannot expect him to be current.
I will go on record as saying I hated this dress. She went down the route of thinking 'what should a royal wear?' as opposed to her own taste. It drowned her, and that collar was just odd. The train was also so so wide.
I don't much like the Prussian tiara either.
Sorry Tish. Thhumbs down from me.
To me this shows why she doesn't wear an updo: it looks hideous on her, makes her look like a scarecrow.
I think a shout out should also go to her bridesmaids, who faced the world's press dressed as milkmaids in showercaps . Now that's friendship...
I honestly liked the whole outfit, especially the collar, but I can definitely see its negatives also. I agree though, a dress like Claire's would've been much better.
The dress just completely overwhelmed her. She's a waif, like Diana, and both of their dresses overwhelmed them. The tiara is okay, better than Mary's, but somehow this whole dress managed to weigh her down instead of being light.
Tiara and Veil are a just STUNNING to me. I adored them both on that day and still do today. The dress however has turned a bit sour on me. I loved it at the beginning but now I find it odd and too big and not delicate enough for Leti, I still kinda like it though.
I loved the dress, and the tiara. I was, however, horrified by the bridesmaids' outfits. I know a bride is meant to ensure she is not overshadowed by her bridemaids by putting them in bad dresses but there are bad dresses and then there are these dreadful numbers. If they were Letizia's idea then I am seriously disappointed in her.
