Order of St. George and St. Michael Service: HM The Queen

Tiara Alert!

My very favorite British tiara is out on the town with HM today: the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. It's one of the Queen's favorites; she wears it very frequently, reportedly because it's the lightest tiara she owns. I'd also wager she wears it a lot because it's huge and has more diamonds in it than your local Kay's store.

(Trivia: my high school graduation gown could easily double for the Order of St. George and St. Michael robes. Who knew?)

    I watched a video of the Queen at the state dinner in Ireland where she was wearing this tiara and was blown away by how beautiful it is. It is now my very favorite tiara of all the ones in all of Europe. It looks very lacy, delicate, girlish, just the most beautiful of all the tiaras out there. This is more then a tiara, it's a crown all by its slef.
