Flitcham Primary School: HM The Queen

HM looks darling in this picture -- we've seen the hat before, of course, most recently on a visit to Leicester University. The pale pink does seem to suit her, as does romping about with a group of excited elementary school children in Norfolk.

Another Sunday at Sandringham, another repeated hat (worn on past occasions to see how mobile phones work or for jaunting about in Bratislava). Apparently the global economic crisis has crunched the millinery budget for the Windsors. Perhaps they're saving up to fix all of those dodgy castle roofs?

Anyway, though this is another frequently seen hat, it's one of my favorites -- and the one that I wish she would have worn on Christmas. It's just so bright and festive.

This really is a hat that only a queen can pull off, isn't it? It's a repeat, this time from the hockey-puck-drop extravaganza during last October's state visit to Slovakia, but it does seem suited for a winter ride in the Rolls over to church at Sandringham.

It's just so delightfully ice princess, and although we all know that I'm not a fan of this Queen-Mary-esque hat shape, I do quite like it.

Oh, these royal ladies and their country-pursuit attire. In this picture, I can't quite tell if Sophie is wearing a modified newsboy cap or something totally different, but I know one thing: I'm not a fan.

I think someone needs to invent a more attractive ladies' hat to wear out while shooting/stalking/hiking/etc. Get on it, Treacy! The Windsor women need your help!
