Tiara Alert!

And it's one we haven't seen for a while: the Burmese Ruby Tiara, last worn during the state visit to Slovenia and Slovakia last October.

I've said before that it's not my personal favorite, but I do quite like it here with a gold dress and accessories.  Looks very regal, doesn't it?

    Now there's some serious bling going on! I think the overall look is a bit too busy for my taste. Perhaps a smaller tiara or one that is less "in your face" would tone things down a bit.

    I'm a lurker who has never commented before, though I enjoy the site.
    One conspicuous thing I haven't noticed HRH wearing in the last few photos are her glasses...I am wondering if she's had her vision corrected, or is wearing contact lenses...?

    I don't know about the glasses -- anyone else? I don't know if she needs them more for reading or if she does have other lenses.

    I think they must be for reading. I recall when she was last in the US and spoke from a prepared text and put them on to read.
