Okay, 'fess up: which one of you was in Port-of-Spain during HM's visit and did not approve of the big tropical flower on her hat???  I just know this lady reads the blog...

    This is just fabulous. HM just seems to have her own style, rather than bowing to convention as so many do. She always does her own thing. No one else could pull this off.

    I like the hat but it clashes terribly with that red, frilly thing 'round her neck.

    She looks a bit "loud" with the ruffle. Would have left it behind and wore a simple red blouse. Other than that, she has had some really lovely photo ops showing her in her finest lately.

    I got grief on the Royal forums, but I cannot help it - I just do not like this outfit. Far too much going on in one place, just too damned busy for me. It is about three different outfits in one. When I saw it in the newspaper, I thought the hat was green all over, and I like it more now I see it is white, but still not my fave. Did anyone see the really loud green dress and hat she wore the day before - it's the middle on in these pics http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/dec/01/queen-caribbean-wardrobe - I though that was rather fun actually...

    I like the hat but at first glance, didn't like the red ruffly thing on her jacket until I seen the complete outfit. In context with the total outfit everything works.

    Agree with Chesney - this outfit needs to be seen full length - she looks fabulous in it! The hat is fantastic.

    I love everything about this outfit except the ruffle on the edge of the jacket. But the hat rocks! It is the perfect balance of modern and classic.

    I agree with JamesB that the neon green/mosaic outfit from the day before was amazingly fun!
