Birthday Dinner at Fredensborg Palace: HRH The Princess of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleberg

The quality of some of the pictures from this evening's dinner is a little sketchy -- I guess because it's essentially a private dinner?  Anyway, we've got Princess Benedikte here repeated the tiara she wore to the theater last night: the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleberg Fringe Tiara.  I guess sometimes it probably is tough to pack more than one precious diadem for a weekend trip...

Update: Here's a better picture of Benedikte and the SWB Fringe:

I do like a good fringe. Very regal.
Does anybody have any information on her necklace/earrings? They look like amber to me, thought they could be anything, I suppose.

A fringe tiara is very impressive, there's no doubt about it. Her overall look was much better last night - that outfit took years off her, but maybe that dress is better for dancing in (I bet she'll be cutting a rug with the young 'uns!)

The necklace is amethysts I'd wager...

Ben looks rather scary I think - I wouldn't mess with her, she'd have yer!

Lovely fringe - she's in the Princess Alenxandra club of being effortlessly regal isn't she.

  4. Sir Tom says on :

Ah, yes, amethysts. She is the Dane's answer to Princess Alexandra.
