Birthday Dinner at Fredensborg Palace: Miss Carina Axelsson

Prince Gustav and his girlfriend, Carina, made it to the birthday dinner this weekend as well!  Carina's doubling up on the tiara that she wore last night: the new one that I'm going to call the Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleberg Diamond Spike Tiara.  I like it better with this hairstyle, I think.

    I think I preferred it last night, with her hair done low. Having the hair at the back of neck balanced out the height of the tiara.

    I thought there was something unfortunate going on in her chest region, but it's the watermark on the photo! I think a necklace would have filled that neckline nicely, it looks a bit bare for my taste.

    I agree, Maggie. I think she looked better last night. It must be hard having to get tarted up every night for grand balls/dinners. We mere mortals are very lucky no to have such worries. (sigh)

    I like this do, if only for the fact that it reminds me of Audrey Hepburn's ball get up in My Fair Lady. The tiara reminds me of the hair ornament in the movie a bit too.

    Interesting that she has worn about 3 tiaras - nice that she is incorportaed into the Danish royal family

    I really like this tiara and it looks to be quite new eithe rmade of white gold or platinum
