Birthday Gala at the Danish Royal Theatre: HRH Princess Marie

Tiara Alert ...  hm.  I was hoping that maybe, just maybe, someone would let Marie sneak into the royal vaults in Denmark and borrow a new tiara to wear, just for tonight, but sadly, it appears to be second verse, same as the first.  Marie's wearing the Diamond Floral Tiara she sported at her wedding (and at the banquet dinner earlier this week, and everywhere else).

I have to say that I'm also not a big fan of the dress she chose for the event; if the last gala gown was too mature for Marie, this one edges toward the other end of the spectrum.  It's a little too much like lingerie, IMO.  I know, I know.  I'm impossible to please.  Sigh.

Anyway, all crabbing aside, I have a more pressing question: who let Marie bring a toy soldier with her to the theater?

The dress does get a bit indecorous in the decolletage, I agree. She appears to have found a fifties pointy bra to wear underneath.

Kudos to the hubby for giving us quite frankly the best royal outfit I've seen in a while. Prince Charles should look at this every time he feels hard done by at being Prince of Wales for ever, and remember it could always be worse.

Crikey yes - she looks like she could shoot bullets out of those like a regal Bond villain. The thing with this type of satin is, it looks fab when standing still by the mirror, but as soon as women move, it looks very unforgiving. Which is a shame, as the dress is a very glamorous one.

I think Joach looks great in this get up - he gets the Mad Hattery prize of the night so far - surely?!

Marie always seems to try too hard with fashion in general. Sometimes the most simple designs/cuts/fabrics are the best. This is just too harsh, as with her last attempt. Mind you, with a sister in law like Mary who just seems to succeed with every outfit she dons, I can see why she'd find it hard.
Same old tiara. Meh. Someone really needs to give this girl some rocks.

I agree with Sir Tom - Marie seems to try to hard and it's a shame because she's lovely. This dress it too risque and not regal enough for the event, I'm afraid.
