Birthday Gala at the Danish Royal Theatre: HRH The Crown Princess of Sweden

Beep-beep, look out, it's the Jeep!

(Also?  Tiara Alert, of course!)

Yes, Crown Princess Victoria looks absolutely serene and thrilled at Queen Marg's b-day party, possibly because she finally gets to bring her BFF, Daniel, along with her to these royal shindigs.  But good lord, is there any way at all we could convince the royal ladies to retire these button tiaras? 

Along with the headlight resemblance, the "buttons" on the Diamond Four Button Tiara also sometimes look like they're sprouting straight out of the princesses' heads.  (And while it would be an awesome party trick to be able to pluck diamond blossoms right out of your noggin, it's really not so attractive.)

    Carl Phillip is really a handsome guy, but he should not do uniforms. I don't know why, but he always looks to me like a train conductor.

    Princess Madeleine looked okay in the four light Jeep, but Sweden should really pass a law forbidding anyone but Princess Lilian from putting either Jeep on their head. She really is the only one who can pull off that look.

    Blooy hell - not the buttons again. Please stop. I actually don't mind the four jobbie, but this just looks unfinished. She's got a nice frock on though, which is a bit more modern for her.

    Please say she's not going to sport this rather rubbish sparkler on the big day! And I'm not surprised you are knackered Ella - I think you will need a full team of picture researchers on June 19th!

    I really can't stand button tiaras. They look so bare. I hope she'll wear her fringe number at least for the wedding, if not a new one.
    This frock, however, does look very nice on our Vic here.

    Button tiara - bleugh!! I've said it before, but it would look so much better if she made the buttons into hairpins. Sigh. She needs to read the blog.

    Still, nice of her to get the guy who parks the cars into the photos...ooops, my mistake, its Carl-Phillip!
