Birthday Gala at the Danish Royal Theatre: HSH Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg
You're in luck, dear readers: we've got a Tiara Alert, and a brand-new princess wearing it!

This is Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleberg, daughter of Princess Benedikte and, by extension, the niece of Queen Margrethe. Nathalie raises horses and rides in equestrian events professionally -- she's sort of Denmark's answer to Zara Phillips.
(Nathalie's also been making headlines recently because of her personal life -- she announced in January that she was engaged to Alexander Johannsmann [he's standing next to her in the photo]. Then, at the end of March, she revealed that the two of them already secretly got married in a civil ceremony ... and that she's expecting a baby! ¡Olé!)
Here, Nathalie's wearing one of her mother's tiaras: Queen Ingrid’s Star and Pearl Tiara. If only we had a better close-up of it, since for once it's not hidden behind one of Benedikte's impressive up-dos!

Yay for the new Princess!!! I was going to have a go at her dress, saying it made her look pregnant, but it turns out she is!! Congrats!!
She wears this tiara very well, it looks very elegant. Although I wonder...did she have the big white dress stashed for her wedding and then think "Oh what the hell, I didn't get to wear it at the secret do..."
Interesting that the silver dress is actually a repeat maternity dress and was worn by her sister (when she was pregnant) about 10 years ago. That is great recycling!
This dress is a wonderful choice for an expectant mum. It's a shame that we can't really get a close up of the tiara, but from this distance it looks smashing. Not too sure about the pearl choker, though - it seems a tad heavy for this ensemble.
Ella, here's one more photo of Nathalie http://www.noblesseetroyautes.com/nr01/?p=30969
Thanks, Tilda! That's an excellent view of the tiara.
