State Visit from The Netherlands – Gala Dinner: HM The Queen of Norway
Had to save this tiara for last, because wow, it still takes my breath away! This is Queen Josephine's Diamond Tiara, which is lousy with both historical provenance and diamonds. It's so shiny, I almost feel the need to avert my eyes to avoid retinal damage!

The earrings are Queen Victoria's diamond chandelier earrings that came to Norway via Victoria's granddaughter, Princess Maude, later Queen Maude.
One thing you see here is how the European royals ar better than our lot at incorporating all the orders and sashes into evening wear. The Queen looks overladen with them most of the time, but by having them under things and pinning them in slightly different places, others make them look natural - this is a master class from Sonja here.
The number and size of the diamonds.... I think she must be wearing one million or two million?
