Ah, the Amethyst Necklace Tiara again -- my thoughts on this one are well-documented, but I'm curious about the way Mette is wearing it in this photo. It almost seems like she's wearing the tiara as a headband, so that the amethysts are laying back against her head.
Am I crazy, or are you all seeing this, too? It doesn't make me like the tiara any better, but it is an interesting way to wear it...

She's either angled it or she's done a bit of back-combing to pouf her hair up behind it. Maybe a bit of both?? It's a daft looking tiara, but heck it's Mette-Marit, and she transcends such things - she looks sooooo stunning!
No, you're right - I've seen a couple of pics of her from the side, almost straight at her shoulder, and it IS tilted backwards. I was hoping it was a mishap she didn't have time to correct before the photos, but perhaps that's not the case after all...
I don't mind this tiara too much - I like the colour, and especially on Mette-Marit. As an extra bonus, she's wearing a bright colour, and she looks amazing!
Mette-Marit can do no wrong in my eyes, and I kind of like the way its combed back with the hair.
Perhaps she doesn't like the idea of it being too "sticky upy" (aaah the things a university education can do for your language skills) and that is why she's wearing it laid back.
In any even she still looks gorgeous.
She is def wearing it tilted back and I quite like it like this. It goes with the hairstyle perfectly. I hate to say it but this tiara has grown on me and I like seeing it nowadays. Though I much prefer it as a necklace!
I never had a problem with this tiara. It looks very nice on Mette-Marit.
HOWVEVER, I do have a problem with the frock. Has she never heard of the golden rule that says pink and tangerine should never be seen? Some flunky should really have warned her.
She is so lovely.
Never heard of that one, Sir Tom but I agree whole heartedly with you on that one!!
I'm not a huge fan if this one, but I think wearing it back doesn't make it seem so- so necklace like!!
