The Crown Princess of Sweden's Wedding: HM The Queen of Denmark
The more I see Margrethe, the more she becomes one of my favorite royals. This lady does what she wants and has fun doing it! Wear a bright green dress and a ridiculously huge pearl parure to a royal wedding? Done and done, and with the Pearl Poiré Tiara to boot!
(Also: how much did you love Daisy and Henrik high-tailing it to the dance floor during the waltzing section of the evening? If you rewatch the video at SVT, they're both just chomping at the bit to get out there and bust a move!)

I was so mad that SVT have cut the dancing clip before Daisy and Henrik got onto the floor. He is officially my favourite Royal consort. All they way through the streaming he just looked like he was having fun, and I really thought he was going to join in with the Shakespeare players at one point! He also had a fabulous hat.
Daisy looks wonderful, and was beaming throughout the day. I loved how her dress threatened to take over the cathedral.
She always looks so reagal in a tiara and big dress (well, who wouldn't, but especially our Daisy!)

I really like this dress, and liked it better with the emeralds, but they might have been too much for a wedding. These pearls are big enough.
They all came loaded down with hardware, Henrik and Fred also.

I have to say that when I saw Daisy and Henrik walking up to the church, I recognized the Pearl Poiré Tiara and the dress, and I felt proud for having remembered them from here.
I'm still a newbie at hardcore royal-watching, but you know you're addicted when you can identify royal jewelry on sight.
I do so love her. She does formal/white-tie/whatever it's called to perfection. And they always look like they really like each other.
Oh Queen Daisy, you win my heart again and again. She is what I always though Queens should be growing up. I couldn't watch the live stream of the cake and dancing and am so sad I missed it. Love this parure, but isn't this a crown jewel as well? Doesn't she need permission to leave the country with it? 10/10 Daisy
She *is* a lovely lady, isn't she? (I might be a bit biased; one of my friends is of Danish background, and looks very much like a younger Daisy.) Anyway, I really loved the dress and the pearl combination. It's a shame that the Orders are so distracting, though, but I guess they're a formal-dress requirement.
I am unable to find any bits of the reception on SVT. Can someone please post here where. I'd be grateful as I feel like I really missed out!

I absolutely adore "Daisy". She has flair, elan, sheer royal in-your-face confidence that says I am a Queen, and I don't have anything to prove.
That is the difference between her (and Elizabeth) and the rest of the Queen Consorts! Correct me if I am wrong, but we just saw a shining example of another "Queen-in-training" get married last weekend, striding with confidence and elegance up the aisle of the Cathedral!
Fab fab fab. She looks as great as ever by night does Marge, and the green with the pearls is a stunning combo. Big and brash, but she carries it off as ever. I'd kill to have a drink with her - I bet she tells the filthiest jokes!

I've watched a doco on the daughters of King Christian X and she was narrating part of it as was Fred n Henrik and she came across as a real extrovert. I thought she'd be a nice person to know...

It helps that Daisy is over 6 feet tall. With that height, she can carry off really big dresses and jewels. Plus she has a natural elan and tons of self confidence. I like her. She's going to be a hard act to follow.
@ yeah she will be a tough act to follow... i don't think her son frederick has the same gravitas but i think the monarchy in denmark will continue to thrive with crown princess mary she puts so much effort in that you would think frederick was her consort and that she were of the blood royal
my god, the queen is styling. to wear a bright colored green dress to the wedding, she was not going to let anyone stand her down.
agree with Ky, helps that's she's 6' tall and can carry on heavy pieces.
Funny that everyone like Prince Henrik. Here in Denmark I think he is the most unpopular member of the royal family
