The Crown Princess of Sweden's Wedding: HRH Princess Máxima of The Netherlands
At first, I was a little disappointed by Máx's tiara choice for Victoria's wedding, but the more I look at photos of this, the more I really like it. This is the Dutch Diamond Bandeau Tiara, made in the 1930s from a collection of massive diamonds which were originally part of the national wedding gift given to Queen Emma in 1879.
One of the unusual things about this tiara? It doesn't seem to have any other settings. But it's gorgeous the way it is -- those diamonds are just enormous, and string of them together is just lovely. I wish all my headbands were made of diamonds!

This is my favorite of Max's tiaras! So simple and elegant, and it just accentuates her lovely smile!
I love that tiara. Its elegant without being flashy.
I was a bit disappointed when I saw this first, but as the day went on I got to like it more and more. It's not my favourite of her dresses, but it does give her that "va-va-voom!"
Oh I was never disapointed! Maybe that was because this was my bet for her tiara. I found it off of a really great website, http://www.royaldutchjewels.nl/, and I'd recommend going there when guessing for tiaras.
But it's just really simple, and chock full of diamonds!

I'm not big on mermaid-style dresses, but this is Máxima, who manages to look stunning almost any time I see her. Also love the tiara: simple, but brilliantly elegant.

Even though its a simple bandeau, I adore this Tiara. The old-rose cut's really glow and dazzle on Max and what a necklace too! She even managed to fit in some stars.

I heart this tiara. It's almost not a tiara at all, more the most expensive alice band you'll ever find. But the size of those rocks make it major bling. It really suits her... as does the dress, it makes her look proper bootylicious! HRH Beyonce perhaps?
These big diamonds must be worth a fortune. She is the most fun royal!! She even sparkels more then her diamonds!
i think the dress is gorgeous - all that lovely lace!
however, i think the style accentuates her curves more than needed. this style is fine for really slim ladies whose curves need accentuating, but on maxima, she ends up looking plump sausage-like. even if it's a sausage cased in gorgeous lace.
i like the tiara and i like the necklace, but not together. one simple and the other ornate would be better i think, like maria-theresa of luxembourg did.
i'm finding her hair coloring off, maybe it's the dress or foundation which is setting it off badly for me.
having said all that - her smile and joie de vivre are dazzling.
I don't get the dress. She looks like a Coke bottle. But it makes her husband look thin.
