If I could be any crown princess in Europe, I think I might choose to be Mathilde -- she's just so serene and beautiful all the time! And her tiara is fabulous -- I just love this Laurel Wreath Tiara beyond all measure. Gorgeous!
But does anyone else think her sash and star look a little bit strangely placed? Here's a full version so you can judge for yourself...

Princess Mathilde and Prince Philippe
Mathilde looked gorgeous - I love the tiara so much, and the dress is lovely. The star placement is a bit high - I think they're usually a couple of inches lower down. And I don't think she has a shoulder strap to pin the sash to, so that might be making it slip a bit.
I just love that rosy colour on her. Her tiara hair was fabulous, and the tiara itself is pretty too!
The star is certainly in a weird place, but I don't think the sash is.
Um, Gorgeous-Much? Everything=Love. She is always so serene and elegant, you'd never guess that she hides an iron will under that beauty.
The star's to be worn on the left chest, women are allowed to wear it a bit lower. That might make for the weird placement. Sash looks like, even if the badge is supposed to rest on the hip, but that might just as well be a matter of being escorted and the badge being in the way.
Love Mathilde. Love love.
Philippe does look a bit scruffy *g* he's the only one of the boys I would have preferred to see shaven.
I think the sash is too narrow, and I agree, I definitely could be placed better. Maybe she didn't want the star to be too close to her necklace, but I think it would look better if it were on her chest, as they usually are.
Prince Philippe looks like a sweetheart, and I like his sash, and the way it's placed, a lot better, too.
It's a fab dress and her 1940's hair is really flattering and works well with the tiara.
This is quite possibly my favorite tiara of all. period.
If anyone has a royal personality, it is princess Mathilde. Hair, tiara and dress: very tasteful and elegant!
