The Crown Princess of Sweden's Wedding: HRH The Duchess of Hälsingland and Gästrikland
Mads looked just radiant at her big sister's wedding, didn't she? Her blue eyes were bright, and the tiara -- well, let's just say I have a weakness for the Connaught Diamond Tiara. It's so intricate and beautiful.
And ... I'm not sure if any of you read the press release material sent out by the royal court about the family's wedding attire, but the information on Madeleine stated: "Princess Madeleine is wearing her own tiara." Sooooo -- does that mean that Madeleine has been given the Connaught?!? Or did she switch out from another tiara she owned (god forbid, maybe the aquamarine cyclops) at the last minute, like her Auntie Margaretha did?
Also, here's what the press release shares about that knockout necklace: "As a necklace she is wearing what is known as the processional jewels (intågssmycket). The piece was given to the newly named Swedish Crown Princess Victoria for her procession into Stockholm following her wedding in Karlsruhe in 1881. Victoria was given the necklace by her husband, Crown Prince Gustaf (V). The necklace is made of Ceylon sapphires, baroque pearls and diamonds."

Oooh that's interesting - I wonder if she has been given the Connaught. I loved how all us hatter went "Yessssssss!!!" when we saw she wasn't wearing the buttons!
She really does look wonderful - can't have been the easiest day for her, but she had a real glow about her. And lovely Carl Philip on her arm!
I was shaking when both of them came (Vicky and Mads) praying that they wouldn't wear the buttons.
She looks splended- not a sign anywhere that she recently broke up with the cheating jerk/ fiance.
Oh, and I was jealous of Anna Westling- she got Carl-Philip as her escort!
When Mado walked in with the Queen, she really took my breath away. This necklace is one of my fav necklace's of all time and this Tiara, O How I Adore This Tiara. Though I do think it was a last minute change because the tiara still has Silvia's brunette velvet base. "Her own tiara"? either the modern fringe or shudderhorror the cyclops.
I'm not a superfan of the flounces on the dress, but I love that blue on Maddie - her eyes just pop in that second picture. The tiara looks perfect on her, too.
That will show the jerk/cheat what he's missing. The best revenge is to look stunning and Madeline was all that.
I wonder, too, if the tiara wasn't a last minute switch, because that hair is quite disappointing, and not at all the best choice for a tiara like that. It somehow looks floppy and flat at the same time, and the middle parting? Not good. Makes the tiara look too thin and spindly, she should have a bigger up-do - emphasis on the "up" part. Something to make a contrast against the metal and diamonds, make them pop more.
Other than that... can I say "wow"? Since everybody else has?
The colour of the dress is simply stunning on her, and the necklace is to die for. Her other accessories aren't half bad either - the clutch and her brother 
Carl Philip looked edible on Saturday, didn't he? I wish I could have climbed into the tv and dragged him off to bed.
Didn't the Swedish commentators say something about this being Princess Sibylla's tiara?

This is called "princess sibyllas tiara" because it was princess sibyllas favorite tiara and she wore it quite frequently. but it is older than that.
I was at first thrilled that Madeleine wore the connaught tiara, but later on, looking at the pictures, I don't think she does it justice..... Seeing it on Silvia, it almost dissapears, but now it looks almost overly large. Not a big fan of the middle parting either.
But I do like the dress; Seems like Madeleine really is going for a fairytale princess look.

Well I thought it looked just amazing on her. Love that she had a new one to wear, and she did it so well. The frock could have done without a few of the flounces, but overall, she looked stunning. But then the girl IS stunning...
Too much make-up and who dyed her hair? It is just awful. Her hair colouring always looks lovely, but now....
Her dress is also a mess. I'm a barbie girl.....
I always loved C-P, but for the first time I saw him talk and move at the wedding diner and I believe he isn't the smartest one. I now can understand why he fell in love with that snake girl.
i like the tiara, and the great necklace and earrings too! the tiara reminds me of a little girl's idea of crown for a princess.
the dress: a little too bright a blue. maybe if it was darker?
i also think the hair and makeup are a little off - foundation too light, hair overly streaked with brassy highlights.
having said all that, she's still a beauty.

But as the majority says; Even with the flaws mentioned, she looks amazing. She looks like a fairytale princess. And the necklace seems to be made for her. (I know it's not.)
