Another new hatter! King CG has four sisters (known as the "Haga princesses" back in the day), three of whom we've not met before, and we're going to get to see all of them today! This is Princess Désirée, one of Victoria's godmothers, who lost her royal status when she married Baron Niclas Silfverschiöld in 1964, but Niclas already had his own castle in Germany, so really, no big loss there.
Dés is wearing the Napoleonic Amethyst Tiara on the day -- I still think it makes the wearer look strangely flat.

It's a lovely piece, but it would probably look better encircling an up-do.
Must be bittersweet for the sisters who got bounced for marrying commoners seeing Victoria marrying Daniel, and him being accepted.
I laughed at your comment that it make the wearers look fat, because you're right, that's EXACTLY what it does!
I wasn't too unhappy that she did though, because it was my choice for Desiree.
I really think this Tiara needs to go back to being a necklace. It is a really beautiful piece, the design and gems are a delight, but it rarely works as a tiara.
Desirée seems to be the only one in the royal family who can acually pull this off as tiara! I don't know what it is, but I acually think it looks good on her.
I like the amethysts, but it does looks rather squat on her. Not really a huge fan.
