Winchester City Centre: HRH The Duchess of Cornwall
You hatters were all a-twitter about this appearance from Camilla in her wedding suit and a new (to the blog, at least) topper! She was out and about in Winchester, inspecting troops from the 11th Light Brigade, who have just returned home from Afghanistan.
And I love her new hat -- except for one thing, as always, LOL! The pointy feathers are distracting me a bit, and with all the other embellishments, they seem like overkill. Cams does love a good wayward feather, though, doesn't she? And when the hat's not made of some dying animal or plant, it's easy to forgive a feather or two.

I really like this hat, classic Camilla, and her speech was obviously heartfelt. But what a deep voice she has - she sounds like a ruptured carburettor.
Love the hat and agree with you on the feathers. Wouldn't have looked better is she had those little whispy feathers...you know the ones I'm talking about...they look like little fireworks explosions?

I quite like a husky voice on an old bird - shows she's lived a bit and had a some fun. And I love this hat. It's a right little (well, perhaps not little) belter. Fantastic proportions, colour and embellishments. It really suits her.
And I'm glad she's taken to wearing longer coats now. They are much more flattering on her IMO.
I like the hat, except for the fethers. They seem odd.
I love the brim on this hat so much that I'll take the odd crown and embellishments. One of her better efforts and very flattering to her.
Speaking of Cams voice, I bet she can belt out some right bluesy tunes with a whiskey in one hand and a cig in the other. Play it again, Chalz.
I remember Camilla's deep, husky voice from her naughty talk with Prince Charles on the Camillagate tapes, you know, the tapes where Prince Charles said he wanted to be a tampon inside Cams? To me, Camilla's voice sounds like vintage drag queen.
Which is funny, because I remember being out once and seeing a drag queen who looked just like Camilla - we nicknamed her Camilla Park-yer-bowels...

The only thing I could look at in the link James posted (Good lord how did you do that!) was the feathery explosion on HM's head- Sophie, perhaps?

The explosion of HM's head looks like she's having her own personal fireworks display. JamesB I am sooooo very glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read your comment regarding the drag queen.
I really loved her wedding, really outfit. The designers did a very, very good job. Very elegant an very delicate. I don't like Camilla's hats. Too much 'pump and circumstance'!
