State Visit from Estonia - State Banquet: Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson

One more Tiara Alert from the Swedish/Estonian state banquet -- it's Princess Christina!  And I'm happy to say that she's looking really healthy these days; hope her treatments are going well.

I'm less happy about the tiara, just because it's the one she always wears, Queen Sophie’s Diamond and Pearl Tiara, and it's one that just doesn't do her justice, IMO.  That hair can handle a substantial tiara -- exhibit A: her appearance in the Six-Button at Victoria's wedding.  Wish she'd borrow from the vaults a little more often!

    *Peers at photo* Yup, there's definitely something lurking in that massive barnet, but it's so hard to see...

    Sigh - I'm sure this is a lovely tiara but Christina really needs something massive or it just gets lost. Love to see this on Mads or Victoria so we can get a proper look at it.

    She's a striking woman in need of a mature tiara. That's too girlish and insubstantial for her. She could use some colored gems against the gray of her hair to pop out.

    Is this the first and last time I'll ever hear you say that you WANT someone in the Six-Button Ella?? :) I agree with that she needs something very substantial, and the Sixer would be perfect.

    I know, I know! It's so unlike me -- but I think they should reserve it just for Christina, because she's the only one who looks good in it.

    The four-button, on the other hand, can get lost in the palace! ;)

    Christina shld have worn the Connaught and Silv the Ruby tiara. That would have been a near perfect Estonian banquet for me. But you go girl, she looks fabuhlus! Cancershmancer.

    She has beautiful glittery silvery hair, the tiara is beautiful too but it blends with her beautiful hair. You are right, the other tiara is really featured nicely on her and not this one.

    I hope to have hair like this some day. I would love to see a nice big tiara with colored stones on Princess Cristina. I'll bet she would look magnificent in emeralds.

    I'll agree, it's nice, but I would love to see her in something more substantial. This one just disappears in her coiff.
