Oh, HM, I know it's windy in Wales, but hang on to that hat! It's one of my favorite ones!!!

Whew! Crisis averted. (It's not like HM really would have pulled a Crown Princess Mary here, though -- she is the hattery veteran! Wait a minute ... maybe this whole "escaping hat" business was an elaborate April Fool's Day prank meant just for us?!? Oh, Lil, you're the best!)
Also: Prince William is a secret hatter. It's been confirmed. His first words to his gran upon her arrival at his RAF base this morning? "I was worried your hat would blow off!" Now there's a future king with his priorities in order! ![]()

Lil in a Marilyn Monroe moment! Love her! She looks fab... but I must confess... I am bored as hell of this hat, lovely as it is.
I love love LOVE this pillar-box red on HM. As I've said time and time again, she really shines in these bright colours.
And you know, for a woman well into her eighties, those legs aren't that bad.
This color is always great on her, and yes, those legs are looking good for a woman in her 80s (because my grandma would never show that much leg haha). And I'm glad to see she can laugh off almost losing her hat. Definitely the common touch there.
It must have been near hurricane force for it to have ruffle her normal impervious facade! She looks so great in red - it's when you see the girl Lilibet shine through her most often. The hat is fabulous, and anyone know which brooch that is? It's soooo pretty *covets*
Whew! It's a good thing the skirt was fitted and not ruffly or she would have had her hands full keeping that down and would likely have lost the very pretty hat. She's looking quite fine and fit for a senior lady. Kind of unusual though to see the metal of a hat pin showing through, right in front especially.
First off, congrats to Ella on her 10,000 comments. Won't be long till this forum rings up 100,000 since so many are now discovering the joys of Mad Hattery. I just love Lilibet - nothing sways her, even the wind, and she just laughs it off with her usual aplomb. Love to see that inner girl come through. And she can certainly give Anne a run for the money with her set of gams. While I would say this outfit might be more suitable for the holidays, I won't quibble because HM looks fantastic in this vibrant red. And that brooch is to die for against that color; wonder if she'll gift it to the 10,000th comment on the forum! LOL
If this hat's crown were just a tad lower, the hat would be perfect. Also, I love the brooch.
I love this color on the Queen. I would love to see her collection of hat pins. The hat is lovely.
Isn't she just fantastic. She looks so happy these days and the red adds to the cheerful feeling.
That shot is amazing! She 's on the move; perhaps to an awaiting helicopter to take a ride with Wills? I love the ensemble but it is getting late in the season for it.
Doesn't she look great? What a smile!!! I think she looks wonderful in this hat. I love the red on her.
I honestly believe this is the very first time I have seen HM"s knees. And she is almost 85. Great knees, your majesty!
That shade of red is so flattering for her. She looks great, and it appears to still be winter in North Wales so I guess the heavy coat is needed. She just looks great in those bright, jewel colors.
This outfit of matching coat and hat appeals to me even though I like to see hats that are not such a close match and given some kind of decorative contrast.
I saw this on Facebook this morning and was hoping you'd get it in! Love HM's bright, vivacious smile - and this shade of cherry red is just perfect! She's no dour old woman, to be sure! What an inspiration!
I love love love this colour! The dress underneath is a bit of a surprise, to me... I always thought that the dress underneath might be kind of baggy and shapeless, but it actually looks very tailored and tight fitting!
I loved seeing Wills and HM together. It would have been better if Catherine was there, though
Seeing her wide grin under the brim of her FABULOUS red hat was a huge treat. There are some other photos where she is chatting with William and her expressions are priceless. HM is always so composed so seeing these photos of her so relaxed and happily lost in conversation with William was most excellent.
This is a new brooch for me. I love it. And Dear Liz looks so wonderful in red!! Live forever, Your Majesty!
