I don't like this hairstyle.
This look is starting to pall for me. Mette is a lovely woman, but her hairstyle is too lank; she needs good tiara hair which we've seen on her before and then that tiara will really be showcased. In addition, I don't like all the limp frou-frou ruffles on the gown which she's worn before; it's too juvenile. She needs a sleeker style in this beautiful ice blue color. Looking at the group picture, the overall look is just too busy with the sash, the gloves, the orders and the ruffles. I'm giving this a pass.
I might be alone in this, but I actually like her hairstyle here. I think it looks pretty and elegant with the tiara.
Nope, I'm (almost) with you, Tara -- I like longer hair worn down with these "headband" style tiaras, but I think a side part would be a little more flattering.
didn't she wear this gown to cp victoria's wedding last year. i liked seeing it again. it takes someone with a great figure to wear this style and cp m-m has it. I agree she missed on the hair. has she ever done a long bob?
I guess I'm in the minority but I think she looks perfect. The dress is on the younger side but so very pretty and MM pulls it off. All the colours look nice together and I think her hair and make up is a great success. She usually has elaborate updos which I adore but I am loving this new relaxed tiara do.
The tiara is so small that I can hardly see it! It is a bit hidden in the hair. I also think the hairdo was so much better (spectacular!) at CP Victoria's wedding. As far as the dress goes, I think this type is about the best one for Mette-Marit.
I love this tiara, but an updo and a less fussy dress would have showcased it much better. Or, she could have just busted out a bigger tiara.
She does look lovely, but then she'd have to be trying awfully hard not to.
It's not Matte-Marit at the top of her game, but she's like the Roger Federer of looking fabulous - she doesn't have to be firing on all cylinders all the time, and she still wins!
I agree with Patricia-there is just too much detail-too many ruffles, odd-length sleeves for an evening gown, too many pleats in the bodice. I didn't love this at CP Victoria's wedding either. Love the color on her, but it is just too much fussy dress.
MMMM looks lovely - as per. but I think the feedback coming through from all of us is... well... it's all a bit done before.
She looks pretty, but this dress is getting no love from me on yet another appearance.
The hair is overpowering the tiara. I love the tiara, but with the hair don't it blends in. BTW, I think that this tiara would look amazing on Catherine.
Ruffles are a tricky look over 30. MM can look so elegant, that this is not mt favorite. Imagine her in something a little sleeker with an updo and tiara. Maybe a steel blue?
