I just love the Württemberg Ornate Pearl Tiara on Trix -- it goes so perfectly with the hair!
And I thought I was going to love this dress on her, until I saw the rest of it:

Imagine this if it were just a solid column of the fabric that the top is made of -- how great would that be? As is, it reminds me a little of what my Glitter and Gold Jem doll wore in 1987. No bueno!

As someone who is not yet over that tragic number she debuted at Daisy's 70th, I think this is the best I've seen Trixie look in ages!
Oh yes - the top half is spoiled completely by the bottom half. It had such potential.
I agree with Josephine: smashing top, terrible bottom...
I think the 80's were a good time for Bea. She's certainly stuck at it with the shoulder pads and ruffles for all these years.
The tiara is sublime. Just beautiful.
For what it's worth, I like this dress better than the sofa upholstery fabric dress she's worn recently. I could have done without the matching ruffle at the end of the sleeves though. Those could get messed up in dinner. Adore the tiara - how could I not?
"Glitter and Gold Jem doll" . . . High-larious! Ella, you're a hoot.
She does this so often - it's like her bottom half just goes to a totally different wardrobe. And look at the cuffs!! Who makes these?!?!?
Oh, tiara - I really like this - it's very Queenly. And her hair looks terrific - it looks softer than her usual pit-helmet style.
Fabulous tiara, one of my very favorites!
The dress...oh the dress. It thankfully draws the eye away from Max's chest, outlined as it is by spangles.
Love this tiara so much - and it does have the volume needed to cope with taht Beatrix hair! Very nice.
The dress... oh I don't hate it, I tihnk she's been eyeing up Mette Marit's frocks with some envy!
Oh, my, this looks like the top of one dress melded with the bottom of another in a weird science dress experiment gone terribly wrong. The result is too incongruous and just doesn't go together at all. Just like Max, the upper shot of HM is so flattering before you see the rest of the dress; the tiara is magnificent and do I actually see Bea's hair softly waving in front? Finally, a dent in her windproof hair!
This was the Bee's wedding tiara. It can be worn with extra pearls and looks very ornate that way, but HM usually wears ut like this. It's slanted backwards here, and looks much better when it's more upright.
As for the dress, I love the top, but not the bottom.
This is by far the best tiara in the Dutch collection. It's just beautiful.
On the other hand, I want to attack the designer of this dress. WTF?
Love the tiara, and the soft wave across her forehead...the head & shoulders photo is great -- she looks wonderful...but the bottom half of the dress is just a mystery....
