State Visit from Luxembourg - Gala Dinner: HH Princess Astrid, Mrs. Ferner and HH Princess Märtha Louise of Norway

Ari Behn's got two princesses on his arm at this state banquet -- his wife,  Märtha Louise, on his left, wearing the King Olav's Gift Tiara, and his aunt-in-law, Astrid, on his right, wearing the stunning Vasa Tiara which once belonged to her mother, Crown Princess Märtha.  Excellent!

    The pair of them look gorgeous. Bit did you see Astrid's frock? Whilst it looks slightly like a nightie, I love it. Damn it, the ol' gal can pull off anything at the mo.

    Love the tiara, but blimey the frock - it looked like it belonged to Demis Roussos!

    ML looks fab - so young, when she's knocking 40! Being a bit crazy suits you love.

    Oh, Astrid, the bling! The glasses! The gown! That necklace looks like it came from Joan Rivers' QVC heart and pearl collection. That heart is gigantic! I barely noticed the tiara amidst all the clutter around her neck and face. And maybe she's practicing time management by wearing her nightie to the dinner and just having to toss off the jewels and climb directly into bed. And, ML, how beautiful is this lady? I love her long hair swept to the side and that gorgeous figure-hugging gown with the little swishy train. I'd have preferred to see her hair up with that tiara, but it's a slight quibble considering how ethereal she looks.

    Astrid reminds me somewhat of a galleon in full sale - there's an unstoppable quality to her. The dress is rather splendid. And I love the unapologetic bling. She has a Dame Edna-ish magnificence.

    Martha-Louise looks gorgeous - so pretty. The tiara is perfect for her, it's such a naturalistic design.

    Martha Louise looked stunning. The gown was so pretty, and her hair is perfect. Ari Behn's not too bad himself... ;)

    She was an HRH until she married Ari. In Norway, it's been customary that royal princesses get "downgraded" to HH when they marry. It happened to King Harald's two sisters, too -- that's why Astrid's also an HH. Ingrid Alexandra will be the obvious exception. :)

    I love Astrid - SO MUCH! Can't wait to see this tiara on little Ingrid one day because it is BOOTIFUL! Geez, I constantly forget just how beautiful Martha Louise is, she really has a stunning face.
