Is it just me, or does Marie and Daniel look good together? I still love her tiara but, you would think there are more Tiaras in the Jewel Vault!
Why is Marie's tiara so much more substantial than Mary's? Maybe because Old Trust is just on lone?
i am guessing that the thinking was mary would eventually get the really big jewels so she could be happy with this little one until then. But it will be a long time. The queen is 71 but looks quite healthy despite a long habit of smoking.
I think Marie got this one because Mary doesn't just have the sparse tiara, she also has that amazing diamond and ruby parure from Queen Ingrid. Anyhow, Marie looks fine with Old trusty, butwhat i really like is the partner swapping going on here. Daniel's looking quite dapper.
Love this Strathmore Rose-type tiara and if the thinking that Mary would get the more substantial jewels, then Marie certainly lucked out with this one, indeed. It's one of my fave tiaras on the royal circuit.
How lovely, elegant and MODEST!
