Zara Phillips's Wedding: HRH Princess Beatrice of York

Really thoughtful of Bea to glue an extra satellite dish to her lace skullcap for the wedding.  You know how tough it can be to get mobile service in those old British churches...

ALSO:

DAVE!  Place your bets, hatters: how long before Smiley Boyfriend DAVE becomes Smiley Husband DAVE?  And will the wedding air on Oprah's cable channel???

I think its not that bad. Its a bit whimsical. Satellite dish type hats are becoming quite the fashion, aren't they? There were so many kind at this wedding.

Trust Bea to bring the satellite array fixed on its pivotal base to church. I like the color and that's about all. The rest of her outfit was extremely fussy and looked like she glue-gunned artificial butterflies to her dress.

Sorry about the double posting. I accidentally hit the submit button twice.

This color is fabulous for Bea-but I really dislike the skullcap/dinner plate style chapeau.

I can't help but anticipate Bea's wedding, when her paternal family comes face to face with her Mum-can't keep Sarah out of that wedding!

This may be her best color. Look how flattering that turquoise is with her coloring. I am not so keen on the shape of the hat. It takes too much time to figure out what it is --- or isn't. I wonder if this shows the influence of the stylist she hired.

Oh Ella, you yet again had me giggling at your caption...thank you for that!

Well, well, well...hmmmm...NO. Argh! Sometimes she can get it so right and sometimes she regresses. The electric blue is beautiful, but I totally hate this hat. It's the skull cap thingy that I looks awful. And her hair looks badly styled. Oh dear.

Her jacket is to die for...so beautiful, but the dress looks like she jumped into the ocean and came out with a bunch of starfishes stuck to it.

I too have the feeling that she and Smiley Dave will be getting married next. She just graduated college so I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't another engagement...soon. The York's could do with some happiness in their lives about now. Goodness just imagine...Bea's marriage will see the convergence of the royals and Fergie together in the same place...all together. Now THAT will be interesting! I would place money on the Wales clan conveniently being "busy" on that day and unable to attend and Prince Phillip, well, he just won't go. Time will tell.

The shiny cerulean color is to die for, but I think this fascinator is tipped too far to the right. Then again, the saucer tipped to the right was the theme of the hattery at this wedding. More creativity next time, please!

Love the turquoise and love her hair up, she looks so cute, but I am terribly let down, I WAS HOPING FOR BAGPIPES!

I love the blue, and overall her outfit wasn't too bad. I liked the embellished skirt - it stopped the outfit looking matronly. Hat is silly and not very flattering, but frankly after her previous wedding efforts, its pretty inoffensive. And DAVE!! He was on Britannia last night as well. Looking smiley as ever. Methinks it'll be Mr and Mrs Smiley DAVE soon...

Totally a satellite dish! Bea's new stylist is definitely helping! The turquoise is great color for her. Props to wearing the hair up.

Do you think Beatrice and Eugenia will wear their mother's tiara for their weddings? Or will the Queen loan them one?!?!

After the Crab Pretzel Hat, there is no place to go but up. I too thought fisherman's net when I saw her dress. Smiley Boyfriend Dave finally gets an invite. Yeah for Smiley Boyfriend Dave.

  13. Lise says on :

The only thing I like is that her hair is up.

I wonder if there was a sale on nude heels? So many of the guests wore them. Some, especially the super high heels with the platform, were just hideous. I have to confess that I loathe high heels. They deform your feet.

  15. cece18 says on :

I love nude heels-they are elegant because they do not stop the eye at the end of the leg like a brighter or darker color does.

not bad, not bad. im talking about her bf, ofcourseXDD
    her hat is kinde bad.

I love the whole ensemble. The blue is a wonderful colour on Bea's alabaster skin, and her hair looks wonderful up. A delightful little chapeau.
Word has it that the Yorkies were actually dressed by Angela Kelly, the Queen's dresser/part-time designer. They both wore her designs for this wedding.

  18. Mandy says on :

It almost seems tame. I imagine she may even have been able to sit upright in the car. I actually don't mind it at all. The colour is fantastic.

  19. JamesB says on :

I love the colour on Bea, great with her hair - which I wish was a bit tidier. And her hat is fun, though a bit too far to the right. She looks good - and like her sister, well put together. I think she's getting the hang of it at last! Yayy!
