It's official: I want the Queen of The Netherlands to be my new best friend.

Her royal-blue, single-layer cake hat is standard, but she is AMAZING.

Shades of Sumo Wrestler Edith Head again, even if it's not an exact repeat.  I think small hats just aren't Máx's forte, even when they are sequined berets.  And those sunglasses have GOT TO GO.

Let's get this party started, hatters!  Queen Cake and Wax 'n Máx are in the Caribbean for a ten-day tour, and Bea's kicking things off with ... a big bowl of something pointy?

Tiara Alert in Australia, hatters!  HM busted out the massive Brazilian Aquamarine Tiara for the banquet at the Heads of Government meeting.  It's certainly impressive, but this one has never been one of my favorite tiaras.  Just not my cup o' tea...

Yes, it's a little fondant-y, but I am utterly in love with this.  Such a gorgeous royal blue, and the contrast with the white ... perfection.  A plus, Your Maj!

HM brought out one of my faves for her second hat o' the day today -- love the dark aqua of this topper.  We last saw it in June; have to say that I like it just a bit better without the coat, but that's really splitting hairs, isn't it?

ETA: The lovely JamesB sussed this one out -- it's an altered repeat from Ascot 2009.  Yep, didn't like it then, don't like it now.

I'm almost positive we've seen this shocking pink topper before, but I'm already late for work (eek!), so I don't have time to go archive-combing.  Let the hunt commence, hatters!
