The Girls of GB&I is looking rather spectacular this evening, isn't it? Favorite tiara, always and forever.

Princess Anne was front and center at tonight's state banquet, and she didn't scrimp on the bling: this is, of course, the Festoon Diamond Tiara, probably more familiar to most royal watchers as the tiara that Autumn Phillips wore on her wedding day. We haven't actually seen Anne in this one on the blog yet -- I like how parts of it just barely peek out over her hair!

Liz wore one of my favorites of her winter-white ensembles to greet President Gul of Turkey today in London -- it's the same one she wore to mark her 60th wedding anniversary, and she's worn it a few times since then as well. And she looks so happy wearing it!

Flower-swap hat, dress from last year's visit to the US -- lovely all around.

Mary and Fred are on an official visit Down Under this week, and I'm loving the return to summery hats for the Southern Hemisphere! Now this is a properly glamorous chapeau...
And also on display in Sydney today? BABIES!

There wasn't a whole lot of competition in the "best hat" category at this year's National Day in Monaco, but I think the little figure-skating princess from Hanover may have won me over on the day. Simple, age-appropriate, and adorable.
As an aside: am I the only one who can't believe that Philip Treacy et al haven't been able to draw the ladies Monegasque princely family over to the dark side of ridiculous fascinators? I mean, if anyone could unironically rock some of the sea-creature-esque creations coming out of the British hat industry, it's Stéphanie and Charlotte, right? Time to tap into this goldmine of a market, milliners...

Ah, the rare feather-encrusted cake hat... (This one is a repeat, isn't it?)

Not sure about the amount of animal print in this ensemble, but I think I love this hat. Sort of like half '40s chic, half '70s cool?
