Nobel Prize King's Dinner 2011: HM The Queen of Sweden

It's the Connaught Diamond Tiara for the queen at the King's Dinner -- love the historical lineage of this piece.  (Gustaf VI Adolf and Margaret of Connaught are one of my all-time favorite royal couples.)  And it's perched at a much more flattering angle than last time we saw it.  AND I think Sil's also wearing my favorite Swedish necklace!  I am pleased.

    Beautiful dress!

Beautiful necklace, beautiful gown, beautiful tiara - but not so much on Silvia. I think the Connaught is too lightweight a tiara for her and feel it's better suited for a younger princess like Madeleine. I'd have loved to have seen the mothership of all tiaras on Silvia, the great diamond and sapphire fortress. I'm so totally in love with that one, and she carries it extremely well.
