Danish Ruby Jubilee - Gala Performance: HM The Queen of Sweden

It's the Connaught Diamond Tiara on Queen Sil tonight (and it's actually a tiara tw0-fer, because that's the Modern Fringe Tiara around her neck!).  I love this tiara to bits, but I'm going to express a possibly controversial opinion here: I think it's time for Silvia to pass this one on to Madeleine.  It's a bit too delicate for Silvia's hairstyle these days -- and, bonus, maybe it would convince Madeleine to bring her BF back to Europe and attend a tiara event or two?

    I agree. I think this tiara suits Madeleine better. Or maybe she can pass it along to me. :) Its one of my favorites.

    Noooo pleaaaase!! don't let this go to Madelaine! She might have looked good with it at her sisters wedding, but that would mean that the connaught tiara would share destiny with the aquamarine kokoshnik; To be seen every 30 year when it's a big wedding celebration! And it's far too beautiful to be hidden away and is too historically important.
