State Visit to Oman - State Banquet: HM The Queen of The Netherlands

It's Tiara Alert time in Oman tonight!  Here's Queen Bea in the Mellerio Ruby Tiara, the same sparkler she wore to Crown Princess Victoria's wedding.  It's one of the tiaras that she wears best, IMO -- you've got to be able to see it over the barnet! ;)

    That is one hip Dashiki....and it actually works well with the taira and the context of the evening.....
    much more appropriate than Dear Max's (apparent) orange T-shirt with pills and snags.
    Poor Max, she always seems to be either right on the pinnacle, or falling off the cliff -- but this time Cake, at least, gets it right!

    This outfit is flawlessly executed. I think the genuine warmth HM has in meeting people, the great and the good or her subjects, the delight is the same.

    Max is recycling a dress from Prinsjesdag in 2009 -- I think it's actually a blushy pink color.

    Bea looks suitably exotic with that lovely ultra-embroidered gown so fitting for the occasion. Great color, too, complemented beautifully by the tiara. She really outshone Max, I feel.
