State Visit to Oman - State Banquet: HRH Princess Máxima of The Netherlands

Hooray -- we haven't seen Máxima in the Ruby Peacock Tiara on the blog yet!  (She's worn it at least once before, but in pre-blog days, I believe.)  Really like the shape of this one on her.  Shame about the tiara hair, though...

Also, for those of you keeping count of the matching Trix/Máx ensembles during this state visit, that makes two, two ruby tiaras for the night!  (Insert Count von Count laugh here.)

    Aside from the fact the hair is appalingly bad for a tiara, why would one choose to wear rubies with an orange frock?

    Max is recycling a dress from Prinsjesdag in 2009 -- I think it's actually a blushy pink color.

    Thank you Ella. It does appear to be the same one. Still not feeling the rubies, something with all diamonds or diamonds or pearls would be better suited.

    Love the revamped Tiara-Pedia, Ella! Max is one of my faves; she might not always get it quite right (not sure about this gown), but her smile is just gorgeous.

    I love the peacock. Love it, but she's not doing it any favours. Hair up, better frock. Keep smiling though, that's a winner love.

    Tiara, necklace and earrings are absolutely gorgeous, but not the hair, dear. This has been an ultra-casual trip as far as the tresses goes; normally we can rely on Max for stunning tiara hair. But her smile is certainly dazzling.
