We've got a big giant repehat from Sandringham today -- I don't think we've actually seen this one since the state visit to Slovenia back in 2008. This one vaguely reminds me of a baked good this time around.

Looks great -- and warm!
Thank you Ella, for a nice chuckle with my Sunday coffee. There is something sort of whole wheat about this, boulangerie meets bagel....
But, given the british weather, and the fact that there could be no more appropriate time to be "tweedy" --I think HM looks wonderful....(especially after the loden dourness of the "tree planting" coat)
NOW, if HM should wear this for Easter Sunday, that will be a very different thing.
btw...
While hatless in the chill air (pining for Gordonstoun?)
the D of E in the background is looking flawless in his Chestnut Chesterfield.
This is giving me the urge to run out for some coffee and an extra-crusty bagel, but I do like the color and the tweed material. The cuffs seem to match the fabric of the hat as well. And how nice it is to see Philip out and about again, looking quite dapper in his own overcoat.
I like this one... she looks lovely and warm doesn't she. Nice little fur scarf too.
Thanks for the reference, I see this is the same coat she wore in Slovenia too. The toasty greyness is elegant, but I think the little contrast of the dark fur collar (and let's not forget the brooch) really makes this appearance better than the previous one.
I'm indifferent to the coloring, but I just hate the shape of this hat.
This does look a bit like a wholemeal baked loaf of some sort, but cozy with it. Lovely story in the Daily Fail - a little boy who was waiting outside gave her a bunch of flowers, then a bag of Werther's Originals. When she asked if there were for her, he replied no, they were for the Duke of Edinburgh!
Little boy's dad works on the Sandringham Estate, and it must be common knowledge that the DofE likes toffees.
I suspect this coat and dress are extremely warm. It was bitter cold when the outfit debuted in Slovenia.
The gold trim (braiding?) on the hat, matching that at the bottom of the coat and at the wrists, makes the hat look a little like a crown. I rather like that gold but not the rolled brim.
HM QE2 has worn that black fur piece at the neck for the past 4 Sundays at Sandringham. Oh well, it goes with the handbag & boots, I suppose. Who else would choose black accessories for a brown outfit?
On a side note....HM Official Diamond Jubilee portrait was released Sunday on the royal.gov website. Mr. Fitzroy's heart is skipping a few beats, because nothing else compares to the George IV State Diadem -- it's his very own favorite ever ever.

Thank you Ma'am for the selection!
I think she wore this last January while at Sandringham.
