State Visit to Vietnam: HM The Queen of Denmark

Wrapping up the first official day of the Danish state visit to Vietnam, we’ve got a Tiara Alert from Queen Margrethe! (CP Mary didn’t wear a tiara to this dinner — such a disappointment!)
Margrethe is wearing her Diamond & Turquoise Bandeau Tiara, which she inherited from her late mother, Queen Ingrid. The flower designs are daisies — quite appropriate for a monarch whose nickname is “Daisy,” isn’t it?
All in all, not bad … except that she wore this very outfit, complete with the same tiara, to last fall’s state visit to Tanzania. Maybe it’s time to switch things up a bit when traveling abroad? Or perhaps it’s easier just to keep the suitcases packed and ready to go?

Wow. Finally she wears something relatively nice. Too bad it isn’t very formal.

She has a beautiful figure and this outfit (at least the top) plays that up nicely. A strange color combination though. Looks like she threw two pieces of different outfits together. In general, I have to say, she has no fashion sense. Seems not to bother her.
