Newcastle upon Tyne: HM The Queen

Newcastle upon Tyne: HM The Queen (6 Nov 2009)

We last saw this little pink number during the state visit from Mexico in March.  Last time I thought it looked a little too Sound of Music for me, but I liked the color … this time, though, it’s looking a little Pepto-Bismol for me.  Anyone else?

I love the bubble gum pink!! HM looks sooo adorably cute in this color and the up-turned brim of the hat!

I just find this whole outfit so very boring – it reminds me of her 80′s outfits, very tailored, one colour, no embellihment at all. Not my favourite.

She looks so happy! Before I started looking at royal pictures a lot I thought that she never smiled! Boy was I worng. She looks wonderful!

I like it! It’s plain and simple. Sometimes I think her dressers go a little crazy with the embellishments, so it’s a nice change.

She’s tickled pink! I love her in this shade; and she certainly looks happy!

A good shade for viewing the monarch from afar – there’s no question who the Queen is when she wears these pretty, bright, clear colors. My pop culture reference for the hat isn’t The Sound Of Music, but the Ludwig Bemelmans children’s book “Madeline” about the french girls school where all the girls wore the same hat-like this one only dark with ribbins down the back. Old School French school girl.
