Queen Wilhelmina Research Award: HM The Queen of The Netherlands
Queen Bea wore this interesting topper to the presentation of the Queen Wilhelmina Research Award for cancer research in The Hague. Not a fan of the olive color, and I’m really not a fan of the strange beige stripe of color around the top.
It was also a precarious hat to wear in a sudden gust of wind:

Her hats look like they are lightly propped (perhaps too small for hairstyle) on top of her coif. They are not flattering, period.
She has really fabulous thick hair. I can’t understand why she wears such big, heavy hats when she could anchor something much lighter. I like some of her hats, but they do nothing for her.
