I’m pretty sure this is the hat most recently seen on HM as she left England for her Caribbean tour, but I like it more in this environment. I mean, how better to reinforce the notion that you are QUEEN of all the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth Realms than by wearing bright red when everyone else (save the bishop) is in dark, wintery shades?

Love the coat and scarf combo, as well as the stockings/leggings and boots. Seriously, I wish the Queen was my grandmother, because, while I love my grandmothers, neither of them could pull off something this chic.
Plus the Queen is just all-around amazing.
Seriously, I cannot get over how fabulous HM looks in boots. I definitely prefer this ensemble to the last time we saw it; the colour seems more vivid now. I’m still not keen on the overall shape of the hat (it just seems a tad twee), although it seems appropriate for a small church outing. And a matching scarf! This gets better. HM has really bumped up the accessories of late, and good on her. All in all, I think she’s done very well here.
Love, love, LOVE the whole outfit!! I want those boots…
Love this. Bright, vibrant and cheery. The scarf is a funky touch too. This is one cool 83 year old!
Love this combo. The boots rock! If she were my grandmother, I would, even as an adult, love to play in her closet. Can you imagine all the hats, tiaras and jewels to try on?
