West Newton Church: HM The Queen

Looks like spring has sprung early on the Sandringham estate, doesn’t it?  That’s just not fair — it’s frigid and snowy over here.  Between the re-emergence of the Pepto-Sound of Music chapeau and that lovely basket of posies, I’m really tempted to book a ticket over to Norfolk!

P.S. — Still don’t like this hat — and I know that’s not a terribly popular opinion.  Feel free to disagree starting … now! :)

Pink is not her colour. Nor is the style of hat. The black accessories gives the outfit a “jarring” note. She looks so much better in other pastels such as green, blue or mauve.

She looks jolly and cheery, but it’s still not my favourite, it’s just a bit too plain I think.

I just want to see her swinging her guitar case and skipping down the road singing with this one, but I don’t think she’s quite up to doing a Julie Andrews unfortunately. Be a bit tough at 83.
To be honest, it is growing on me, but only slightly. I don’t mind the black accessories. The shape of the hat could definitely do with reworking, however.

If this whole outfit was in a bright magenta color, I would probably like it more.

Not her best. the coat is quite slimming, but the hat…

Do you think maybe if the hat were a touch larger? It looks like when I try to put last year’s winter hat on my growing kids – just a bit too small. But I still think the coat kind of looks like a bathrobe.

The coat is well, but the no, made Her very small

Hat’s a smidge small; makes her look like a little girl going to school. Other than that, she’s always fab!

Kind of like the pink but the basket: a tisket a tasket :)
