Not sure about the amount of animal print in this ensemble, but I think I love this hat.  Sort of like half '40s chic, half '70s cool?

Still love the Diamond Laurel Wreath Tiara on Mathilde, but I'd still love to see another tiara added to her collection eventually.  The beautiful diamond brooch that Mathilde wore to the wedding service was a gift to her from Queen Fabiola -- maybe eventually we'll see a former queen offer a future queen one of her magnificent tiaras, too?

I know I should be all up in arms about a black hat worn to a royal wedding in July, but I don't even care.  It's just a little bit silly, which I love, and Mathilde looks so cute!

Princess Mathilde chose an exceptionally fancy lampshade for the big wedding, didn't she?  I don't hate this complelely -- the color is smashing -- but the shape of hats like this so often looks like a lampshade you'd find in a penthouse apartment in Miami in 1993...

Mathilde, I love you to pieces, but this outfit makes me dizzy.  A seriously textured fur paired with a seriously textured coat?  And is that a cossack hat?  Just ... not my favorite outfit.

Longtime readers of the blog will know that I'm not crazy about fedoras on women in the first place -- and I'm really opposed to women wearing fedoras that have accidentally gone through the spin cycle in the washing machine.  Yikes, Mathilde!

It's a hattery two-fer today for Mathilde -- and this year, the bold, bright color for the military parade is orange!  Love the little cropped jacket on Mathilde, and I'm thisclose to loving the wide-brimmed hat.  Make the crown a little lower -- it's reading "nineteenth-century midwestern American farmer" to me -- and heck, make the entire thing orange!  Go big or go home!

(Also -- that's Queen Fab over in the corner!  So disappointed at the lack of hattery this year, Lady F...)

First things first: I love Princess Mathilde.  I want to be Princess Mathilde.  She just radiates warmth and kindess, doesn't she?  This was Mathilde's first outfit and hat of the day, worn to the Te Deum service and to the walkabout, where she greeted royal fans. 

Love the black and white color scheme, but this flowery headpiece (back of the head hattery again!) just pales in comparison, IMO, to her gorgeous headpiece from last year.  Let's hold out hopes that the military parade hattery -- she always changes between the Te Deum and the military parade -- will be better!

HRH The Crown Princess of Sweden and Mr. Daniel Westling

Well, kids, yesterday we partied hardy in the wedding live posts, and today we get to have a tiara fiesta!  I've compiled all of the tiara entries for the royal guests at Crown Princess Victoria's wedding to Daniel Westling (now Prince Daniel) in this entry.

The wedding, of course, took place in Stockholm yesterday.  The couple has been together since 2002, when Daniel became Victoria's personal trainer.  Love blossomed, and on their wedding day, Daniel became royal.  During their balcony appearance, Victoria thanked the people of Sweden for giving her a prince.

And now, we'll all just have to wait to see how long it takes before the pitter-patter of little royal feet are heard in Haga Palace!
