Our Maddest Hatter has certainly let her style mature in the months since the Wedding Disaster, hasn't she? This is a charming little hat (even if it is, I think, a repeat), but I do sort of long for the days of Yorkie madness at Christmastime.

If you ask me, there are few hats in life that make you feel better than a good, old-fashioned mortarboard. I mean, what's better than a hat that shouts, "I did it! Finals and term papers and all-nighters ... sayonara!"
Congratulations, Bea! Aw, you guys, our smartypants Maddest Hatter's all grown up now!

Whew! Looks like it's not beige and gray for Bea from here on out -- so relieved to see a little wack-a-doo put back in her hattery! Doesn't this one look like it should be perched at a slightly steeper angle, though?

Oh, dear. I think the world has officially scared the Mad Hattery right out of Our Bea post-wedding.
...but really, even though this is as basic as basic gets, it is cute and flattering on her, isn't it? And she DID HER HAIR. Honestly, she looks great! (Even if the hat blogger in me wishes there were sparklers or stuffed animals worked in as embellishments somehow. Having to tag an entry "beige" and "royal ascot" is a little bit sad...)

The York girls managed to evade most cameras today, but here we've got some video captures of their millinery madness. Looks to me like we've got a cream-colored pillbox on Beatrice, with some burgundy floral embellishment...
We didn't see Beatrice at Trooping this morning, but we catch up with her here later in the day with Smiley Boyfriend DAVE at the wedding of Sam Waley-Cohen, famous for winning the Cheltenham Gold Cup as an amateur and (apparently) helping to reunite William and Kate post-breakup.
Wish Beatrice would break up with this hat and jacket -- we've seen the hat a couple of times, but the pair of them were last out and about in 2009 for the unveiling of the Queen Mum statue on the Mall. Eh. Just not a great combo. Hat alone, fine, but jacket -- donate it to charity and be done with it.
Also -- if Kate Cambridge was able to pop in a car and hurry off to the wedding post-parade, wonder why Bea couldn't do the same? I missed her on the balcony this morning!

Yorkies at the Derby! At first, I thought we actually had a Yorkie Hat Swap on our hands -- I was thinking of this Ascot fascinator from Eugenie last year -- but it looks like a different piece on closer inspection. Pretty good, all things considered; a bit precious, but I'll give it a pass.

And the Maddest of All Hatters shows us once again why she deserves our crown! What is it about her cousins' weddings that bring out the mad hatter in her?
You guys know I was dancing with unrestrained glee when Bea popped out of the car wearing this little number.
Here's the really convenient thing about having a sister close to your age -- you can raid her hat closet! 
We actually saw this little mini flying nun creation for the first time three years ago -- when Princess Eugenie wore it to Peter and Autumn's wedding. It looks lovely on Bea, but I can't help but wish there was a splash o'color in the outfit somewhere.
