Christmas at Sandringham 2011: Mrs. Michael Tindall

Bless her heart -- of course Zara would bring along Beetlejuice chopsticks to Christmas for our entertainment!  Really, is any hat complete without them?

Zara Phillips's Wedding: Mrs. Michael Tindall

And now, saving the best for last: the blushing bride!  And a Tiara Alert!  I was so nervous she wasn't going to wear one, but of course the new Mrs. Tindall wouldn't let us down!  (Well, technically she's now Mrs. Michael Tindall -- it was announced today that she'll be keeping her name, so Zara Phillips she'll remain.)

As for the tiara: it's Princess Andrew's Meander Tiara, an heirloom once owned by Zara's great-grandmother, Princess Andrew of Greece and Denmark (Prince Philip's mother).  Somehow, it's just perfect for Zara, the royal granddaughter with the Greek name -- modern, simple, and low-key, but still totally gorgeous.

Congratulations, Zara!  May you and Mikey T have many years of sporting happiness!

Has Zara taken a trip over to the Netherlands without telling anyone?  Because I swear, she could have plucked this half-hat with netting out of Máxima's closet any day of the week!

Love, love, love Zara's new topper at the Gold Cup today!  Whimsical, yet neutral at the same time -- perfect!

We last saw this chic little black beret two years ago at Cheltenham, and Zara's been sporting it out and about longer than that.  Love the hat in general, but I have to say that I liked the angle at which it was perched better during its last hattery outing.

Also, I'm really starting to dislike these sunnies, but the way you can see the racetrack reflected in them here is pretty cool...

I feel like this hat is a little ... confused.  Is it going hunting, or is it the mother of the bride at a wedding in 1987?

OMG, Zara.  OMG.  Of all the hats you could steal from your mother's closet, you choose the hair hat?!?

(On second thought, maybe we should just be glad it's not a Paddington...)

Twickenham Stadium: Miss Zara Phillips

Okay, everybody, let me adjust my photo translator here ... yep, it appears that either Harry is practicing to become a bishop ("bless you, my non-royal cousin..."), or he's gently reminding Zara that she forgot to wear her matching hat to Mikey Tindall's big match!

Phew!  Good thing she'd brought it along!

Now they can be a proper double act (surely England would have had a much tougher team beating France without a little patriotic hattery from Harry and Zara).  Can't you just see these two doing a little song-and-dance after Christmas dinner at Sandringham in their matching hats?  I'd pay to see that!

Lovebirds Zara and Mike went for casual hattery all the way to watch steeplechase races in Gloucestershire.  I totally understand the dress code here, looking around at all the other attendees, but I just can't wait to see Zara smartened up in her tiara on her wedding day.  (Looks like it's going to be July in Edinburgh -- what a busy month for royal weddings!)
