Funeral of Prince Alexandre: HI&RH Princess Marie-Astrid, Archduchess of Austria
One more hatter from today's royal funeral in Belgium, and one more new country to add to the blog: Luxembourg. This is Princess Marie-Astrid, Archduchess of Austria. She's a member of the extended royal family of Luxembourg; her parents are Grand Duke Jean and the late Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte of Luxembourg, making her the niece of Prince Alexandre. Her sister, Princess Margaretha of Liechtenstein, also attended the funeral.
Marie-Astrid joined Paola and Mathilde in choosing a classic lace veil to wear to her uncle's funeral, and I think it's a nice choice. Very traditional -- and what's more traditional than royalty?
