Danish Ruby Jubilee - Gala Banquet: HM The Queen of Sweden

It's the sapphire-and-diamond fortress from Sil tonight: the Leuchtenberg Sapphire Parure Tiara.  I know you all know what I think about this, but all that aside: really, shouldn't it have been the Edward VII Ruby Tiara?

Danish Ruby Jubilee - Service of Thanksgiving: HM The Queen of Sweden

An interesting fascinator -- sort of verging into Christmas bow territory, and it kind of disappears into Sil's hair, but I think I like it anyway.

Danish Ruby Jubilee - Gala Performance: HM The Queen of Sweden

It's the Connaught Diamond Tiara on Queen Sil tonight (and it's actually a tiara tw0-fer, because that's the Modern Fringe Tiara around her neck!).  I love this tiara to bits, but I'm going to express a possibly controversial opinion here: I think it's time for Silvia to pass this one on to Madeleine.  It's a bit too delicate for Silvia's hairstyle these days -- and, bonus, maybe it would convince Madeleine to bring her BF back to Europe and attend a tiara event or two?

Okay, for real, who thought that using Batman characters as  hattery inspiration was even a little bit okay?  Tsk, tsk...

Nobel Prize King's Dinner 2011: HRH The Crown Princess of Sweden

My favorite Swedish tiara on Victoria!  Hooray!  (Also, my favorite Swedish prince.  It's been far too long since I snuck him into a hattery photo, hasn't it?)

It's the Connaught Diamond Tiara for the queen at the King's Dinner -- love the historical lineage of this piece.  (Gustaf VI Adolf and Margaret of Connaught are one of my all-time favorite royal couples.)  And it's perched at a much more flattering angle than last time we saw it.  AND I think Sil's also wearing my favorite Swedish necklace!  I am pleased.

Nobel Prize King's Dinner 2011: Princess Christina, Mrs. Magnuson

Looks like we've got a repeated tiara from last night and a repeated gown from the Estonian state visit.  Don't blame her -- that sari-esque jacket is super cute and looks really comfortable, too.

Nobel Prize Ceremony 2011: HRH The Crown Princess of Sweden

My feelings on the Six-Button are well-documented, but it is looking suitably shiny this evening.  Also not sure how I feel about the sequins, in general:

It's a bit Vegas for me, but I know that trips some of your triggers. :)  (Also love the sapphire ornaments in her hair.  These Swedish ladies know how to work their jewelry vaults.  Reason #12413252 that I hope this little baby's a princess!)

Nothing super remarkable about Princess Christina's tiara choice for the evening, Queen Sophie's Diamond and Pearl Tiara (well, except that it's a royal heirloom and was a wedding present to Christina, you know.  No biggie) ... it's the sparkler she wears on most occasions when a tiara is required.  But check out that necklace!  I want that in my stocking this Christmas.
