My feelings on the Six-Button are well-documented, but it is looking suitably shiny this evening.  Also not sure how I feel about the sequins, in general:

It's a bit Vegas for me, but I know that trips some of your triggers.  (Also love the sapphire ornaments in her hair.  These Swedish ladies know how to work their jewelry vaults.  Reason #12413252 that I hope this little baby's a princess!)

Firstly: happy birthday, Prince Dan!

Secondly: Victoria brought out one of my least favorite of her fascinators today -- a little bit of opaque black ribbon and a couple of feathers.  Non-hattery hattery, same as last year.  (Even though I seem to have liked it more back then.  Hm.  Clearly I was on some sort of mind-altering substance.)

Thirdly: when is Vic's due date again?  January?  It may just be her jacket choice, but she looks fairly far along here.  It's like the opposite of CP Mary's pregnancy last year (the I-won't-show-until-the-day-before-I-give-birth variety).

Aw, how presh does expectant CP Vic look?  I'm so excited about this baby.  Fingers crossed that it's a girl, so that she can go crazy in the family tiara collection.

Speaking of which: of course this is the hidden-cupboard Napoleonic Cut-Steel Tiara, one of the many Empress Josephine legacies knocking around in Scandinavian royal vaults.  I really do love this one, and I wish some of the other princesses who are a bit tiara poor would consider something innovative like a steel tiara to help flesh out their collections.  (I'm looking at you, Belgium.)

Baden Fringe!  One of my all-time faves.  Just so, so, so, so beautiful!

You guys -- my greatest fears have been realized.  I think my hattery nemesis, PEACH FUZZ, has spawned a blueberry back-of-the-head version.  Send help!

You know, I am not a big fan of peach as a general rule, but I love love love this on Victoria. She looks smashing! (And, as is always true with the Bernadottes, her hair is amazing. They need to lend their hairstylists out to the other royals for big occasions.)

A major Tiara Alert from Sweden this evening!  CG, Sil, Vic, and Dan all attended an official dinner at the palace, and they brought their bling along.

Victoria's wearing the Baden Fringe Tiara -- AKA my all-time favorite fringe.  I love how it tapers down along the side of the head -- so, so gorgeous!  And Silvia, of course, is wearing the same diamond-and-sapphire fortress that she donned at this year's Nobel ceremony: the Leuchtenberg Sapphire Parure Tiara.  Still not loving it.  Leuchtenberg Sapphire fans, convince me!

CP Vic certainly looks bundled up at the Skiing World Cup in Italy, doesn't she?  Love the white knit cap - maybe not so thrilled about the fur ball on the top, but hey, a girl's got to ward off the cold stylishly, right?

I don't think we need to worry too much about Victoria coping with the chilly temps, though -- she's clearly got her love to keep her warm!  Awwww.
