Did someone order three adorable Dutch princesses in colorful hats? It's that time of year again -- Santa has arrived in the Netherlands. (For real? We're that close to Christmas? I have so many presents to buy!)
It's amazing how much these three have grown since the last time we saw them greeting Sinterklaas in Scheveningen. Love that Amalia especially is going for the jaunty look with her beret this year.

That's right -- slap on your black-tie attire, pour yourself a glass o'champers, and settle in for the Mad Hattery Awards of 2010! (No, seriously, hurry up -- King CG is clearly waiting on you!)
We've moved the festivities inland from last year's cruise-ship do, but that just means more room for all of us and the maddest hatters of the year! So, without further adieu, let's get the party started!
And the winners are...

HRH The Crown Princess of Sweden and Mr. Daniel Westling
June 19, 2010
Well, kids, yesterday we partied hardy in the wedding live posts, and today we get to have a tiara fiesta! I've compiled all of the tiara entries for the royal guests at Crown Princess Victoria's wedding to Daniel Westling (now Prince Daniel) in this entry.
The wedding, of course, took place in Stockholm yesterday. The couple has been together since 2002, when Daniel became Victoria's personal trainer. Love blossomed, and on their wedding day, Daniel became royal. During their balcony appearance, Victoria thanked the people of Sweden for giving her a prince.
And now, we'll all just have to wait to see how long it takes before the pitter-patter of little royal feet are heard in Haga Palace!

Two future queens and a future king as attendants at the wedding of their godmother, another future queen -- this is the stuff that royal scrapbooks are made of! How cute were the bridesmaid and page boy outfits at the wedding? The smaller boy on the left is Prince Christian of Denmark, and in the center of the photo are Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway (with brown hair) and Princess Catharina-Amalia of The Netherlands (with blond hair). One of Daniel's little nieces is the little girl on the right.
I loved how the little girls' dresses sort of echoed the style of Victoria's dress -- and I especially love that she gave them headbands so they could be on the blog, LOL! And Christian was just too cute in his sailor suit.
Below are photos of the princesses (and prince) with their proud parents -- too cute!

I suppose the royals had to do something before the big wedding in Stockholm today, which didn't start until 3:30 PM local time -- for the Dutch royals, that something was shopping!
![Shopping in Stockholm: HRH Princess Máxima and HRH The Hereditary Princess of Orange (19 Jun 2010) [PHOTO: PPE]](http://madhattery.royalroundup.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/2010-0619-netherlands-amalia.jpg)
Bridesmaid Amalia is fast becoming one of my favorite royal kids -- she's so spunky! And I love her headband -- coordinates quite nicely with her summery white and blue outfit.
The future queen of The Netherlands also brought along her gran (who unfortunately went HATLESS. Oh, Beatrix, why!) and her mum on the shopping spree:

Think Crown Princess Mary brought Máx a souvenir from the Great South of France Bulk Hat Buy of 2009?

The Dutch royals are back at the speed-skating oval today for the 10,000m men's race, and Princess Catharina-Amalia has shown true commitment to hattery, busting out yet another bright orange knit cap for the occasion!

And littlest sister Princess Ariane got in the hattery game at the event as well -- but she appears to be using her orange hat as a cloaking device, hiding her tiny royal visage from the masses. Or maybe she's just too nervous to watch! Or embarrassed that her dad wore a bright orange velvety blazer to the event! (I can't wait to see these three adorable princesses in that hilarious "my parents are ridiculous" phase. It will be a joy to behold.)
(Also: I love the "hold the phone, countrymen!" gesture that Amalia is doing here -- now that's a future head of state, right there!)
Finally, dear hatters, we've got another "spot the hidden royal" photo happening here, and this time it's neither a member of the Dutch royal family nor King Constantine. Can anyone ferret out the secret royal here?

I just knew the Olympics would yield some excellent hattery for us, and I was so right -- we've got a new little princess for the blog!
![Vancouver Olympics: HRH The Hereditary Princess of Orange, HRH Princess Alexia, and HRH Princess Ariane (13 Feb 2010) [PHOTO: ANP]](http://madhattery.royalroundup.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/2010-0212-netherlands-littleprincesses.jpg)
Here's the crown princely family of The Netherlands, cheering while watching one of the country's favorite sports, speed skating. In fact, they're cheering on a gold medalist here, as Dutch hero Sven Kramer took home the top prize in this particular race. Way to go, Sven! (P.S. -- for extra points, can you spot the special bonus royal in this picture? Hint: it's not a member of the Dutch royal family...)
I'm sure the little princesses' national pride and appropriately bright orange hats helped immensely in the effort.
They all look so adorable, don't they? And one of them -- Princess Catharina-Amalia, Hereditary Princess of Orange and the future queen of The Netherlands -- is making her hattery debut! Welcome, your royal highness!

You can just tell already that little Amalia is going to be an excellent hatter in the future, can't you? She's already discovered that hats are not only for warmth, but also for enthusiasm! That's her, twirling her hat in the air in celebration. Love it!
Good hattery contributions so far, Vancouver Olympics ... now, bring me some Carl Philip!
